How to combine PDF files into one document
Join PDFs, scans and photos into a single document, in the right order, without installing software.

Applications and claims often ask for all your documents in one PDF. You can combine existing PDFs, photos of paper documents, or a mix of both.
Combine existing PDFs
- Open Merge PDF and choose your files.
- Check the page count and the first-page preview shown for each file.
- Drag the files into order, use Move up and Move down, or select Sort A–Z.
- Press Merge PDFs and download the result. Each original file gets its own bookmark.
Keep only some pages, rotate or remove pages
Select Choose pages on a file and type the pages you need, such as 1-3, 5. To fix a sideways scan or drop a blank page, switch to the Pages view: every page has a preview with buttons to rotate, remove or move it, and Undo reverses the last change.
Printing on both sides? Under Advanced options, turn on Start each file on a new sheet so no document begins on the back of another.
Turn photos or scans into a PDF
If some of your documents are photos, use Images to PDF first. Choose A4 or Letter so every page has the same size, rotate any sideways photos, then create the PDF. You can then merge it with your other PDFs.
If a file will not merge
- Protected files: open the PDF in the app that created it, remove the password and save a copy.
- Damaged files: open and save the file again in a PDF reader, then choose the new copy.
- Signed documents: merging creates a new file, so existing digital signatures are no longer valid.
