Examples
An exam portal asks for a 200 × 230 px JPG under 50 KB
Pick Exam form photo from the common requirements. Drag and zoom the photo inside the frame, and the final checks confirm the format, size and dimensions of the real file.
A passport photo of 35 × 45 mm
Choose Passport or visa photo. The size is converted to 413 × 531 pixels at 300 dpi, a face guide helps you line up your head, and the print size is saved in the file.
A signature of 140 × 60 px under 20 KB
Choose Signature. Zoom in on the signature so it fills the frame, then prepare the file.
The site accepts JPG or PNG up to 1 MB
Choose “JPG or PNG” and 1 MB. If your photo already meets every rule, you are told so before anything changes.
Limitations
- Requirements come from you or our starting points. We cannot guarantee that an organisation will accept the file.
- We do not change the background or check your face. Follow the photo rules of the organisation.
- Very small size limits may need lower quality or smaller dimensions.
- JPG, PNG and WebP images up to 20 MB are supported. WebP files cannot store DPI.
Privacy
This tool processes files on your device. Files are not uploaded for processing, and nothing you choose is stored after you close or reset the page. Read our privacy notice.
Troubleshooting
The size check still fails
Allow JPG output and smaller dimensions. PNG files cannot be compressed by quality, so they often cannot reach small limits.
The form says my photo is the wrong size
Check whether the form means file size (KB), dimensions (pixels) or print size (mm or inches), and enter each one that is listed.
My head is too small in the photo
Use the zoom slider under the preview and drag the photo until the face fills the oval guide.
Questions and answers
How do I make a photo smaller than 200 KB for a form?
Enter 200 KB as the maximum size, choose JPG, add any required dimensions and choose your photo. We plan the changes and show the actual result size.
How do I make a 35 × 45 mm passport photo?
Choose Passport or visa photo, add your photo, then drag and zoom until your face fits the guide. The file is 413 × 531 pixels with 300 dpi saved, so it prints at 35 × 45 mm.
What is DPI and do I need it?
DPI (dots per inch) tells a printer how large to print the pixels. Forms that give sizes in millimetres or inches need it; we convert the size and save the DPI in JPG and PNG files.
Will the website accept my file?
We check the requirements you enter against the real result, but each organisation has its own rules. Read their instructions carefully.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Every step runs in your browser on your device.
