Your files
All current FreeTaskNest tools process files on your device, inside your browser. The files you choose and the results you create are not uploaded to our servers for processing, and we cannot see them. They stay in your browser's memory until you reset the tool, close the page or refresh.
The same applies to text, numbers and dates you type into a tool, such as the word counter, the calculators or the QR code generator: they are processed in your browser and are not sent to us.
If we ever add a tool that needs to upload files, its page will say so clearly, explain why, and state how long files are kept.
Information stored on your device
To make returning visits easier, some tools store small amounts of information in your browser's local storage:
- Recently used tools (tool names and times only)
- Settings you choose to save, such as a target file size
- Text in the word counter, only if you turn on "Keep my text on this device"
This information never includes your files, file names or file contents. It stays on your device and you can clear it at any time from the tool, or by clearing site data in your browser.
Cookies and advertising
FreeTaskNest does not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this notice and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Visitor statistics
To learn which pages and tools are useful, we count visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It does not use cookies and does not identify you across days or websites: it records the page, the referring website, your country, browser, operating system and device type. Your files and the text you type are never included. See Vercel Web Analytics privacy.
Contact form
If you send us a message with the contact form, we store your email address, the subject and your message so we can read and answer it, together with a one-way code made from your IP address that helps us stop spam. We keep messages only as long as we need them and delete yours if you ask.
Server logs
Like any website, our hosting provider receives standard technical information when pages are requested, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose problems.
